Career In Hacking

What is ethical hacking?

Ethical hacking is performed by skilled computer experts, who are also known as ‘White Hats.’ The process of ethical hacking involves the usage of programming skills in order to determine the vulnerable areas in computer systems. The ethical hackers evaluate the vulnerabilities, and suggest necessary changes that need to be carried out in order to keep the system more secured from the non-ethical hackers, also known as the ‘Black Hats.’

There are a number of ways in which the White Hats usually work. They use the knowledge of computer systems in an attempt to penetrate them and crash them. In a way, the job of the ethical hackers is to break the security protocols of a system, find out a way to create mischief with the programmes running, and finally find a way to prevent the Black Hats from hacking the system.
But one thing, ethical hackers do all these things only with the permission of the companies that hire them,to increase the security of the systems as their only motive. Like hacking attempts by an ethical hacker on new operating system so that its security can be tested before it comes to market.

What type of people generally gets into ethical hacking?

Generally, there are a variety of ways in which people enter this fast-growing field of ethical hacking. Most of the people who take up the career in ethical hacking are computer and internet savvy. An educational background in Computer Science is not necessary, as not all in this field have that course as their qualification. And there are instances too, where a white hat would have gained experience and skill by being a black hat before.

The scope for Ethical Hacking Career

The usage of the internet and the concerns about its security are on a drastic increase presently. And because of this, there is a considerable need for computer experts and ethical hackers on the global platform. Even many websites owned and operated by the US government have been hacked, and concern about the theft of information is growing day by day. Identifying the present weaknesses of a computer system and designing impenetrable security systems are vital functions of the ethical hackers in order to keep the information private and secure.

The work of ethical hacking requires lot of creativity, as the ethical hackers need to think out of the box in order produce many ways to prevent the system from being encroached by the black hats. Most of the people in ethical hacking would have had acquired a lot of their skills on their own, by experimenting.

Myths School Violence

Myth #1: School violence only happens among poorly educated children.

Truth: School violence affects children across all racial, social, economical and geographical boundaries. This means that your child is not safe from school violence just because they attend an expensive prep school or study abroad.

Myth #2: School violence is caused by children who come from problem homes.

Truth: There are many instances when school violence erupts between children who are from stellar homes with parents who are highly educated and have provided their children with the best of everything. In other words, school violence is no respecter of social class or lack thereof.

Myth #3: If you don’t want trouble, you should just look the other way when you see school violence.

Truth: Turning away and pretending that you haven’t seen violence at school only increases the possibility that not only will it happen again but the next time the violence may escalate and more children may be hurt or killed. There are channels you can use in school to report violence without actually trying to break up the violence and risking injury.

Myth #4: If you ignore violence in school, it will just go away in time.

Truth: Many children who commit violent acts do so because they think that they can get away with it. If there is no risk of getting caught or being punished, the violence tends to continue to escalate, often times giving the offender a rush of adrenaline or false feeling of power over those who are victimized. Children who commit violent acts on and around school property must be dealt with. The sooner the better.

Myth #5: Children who commit violent acts in school should be locked away forever.

Truth: There are a great number of different reasons why children behave violently in school. Finding the cause of their behavior and treating the cause to effect a cure is the only logical solution. Committing children to permanent incarceration for violent acts only supports the claim that education and society have failed children who commit such acts.

Myth #6: There is no solution to school violence.

Truth: Every day solutions are being brought to the table to help decrease and eliminate school violence. Educating parents, teachers, students and communities on how to better serve students who may have violent tendencies and those who are victims are a part of the solution that is working to make schools safer for children all over the world.

Thanks

School Violence

What is school violence? School violence is any form of violent activity or activities inside the school premises. It includes bullying, physical abuses, verbal abuses, brawl, shooting etc. Bullying and physical abuses are the most common forms of violence that is associated with school violence. However extreme cases such as shooting and murder have also been listed as school violence.

There are many reasons for school violence. It is mainly because of bullies inside the school premises. These bullies try to dominate and tame other students which could end up in a fight that could go overboard. However bullies and arrogant children are not the only reasons for school violence to happen. Parents, teachers, school authorities and friends have their share in influencing school violence.

If you see the influence of parents in school violence then they have the maximum contribution. If the parents are not responsible and caring towards their children then it is obvious that their child will grow to be an arrogant child because the child feels neglected and all alone. So it is very important that a parent gives sufficient care and love to their children in order to make sure that their child grows with a proper attitude. They need not do something special or flamboyant to make their child happy. Just a simple pat on the back, words of praise and appreciation, fulfilling their small desires and needs can very well do the trick for you. The only important thing for a parent is to be responsible.

Coming to the influence of teachers in school violence, they have the same amount of contribution as that of a parent. A child spends nearly eight hours at school and he is under the vigil of the teachers. So it is very important that these eight hours are spent in a favorable atmosphere. The teachers should make sure that the child is not under any sort of disturbances from other bullies inside the class or do not have any problem that could possibly rise the instances of a school violence. If a teacher finds a bully child in the classroom then it is their responsibility to rectify the bully characteristics in that bully child. In all it can be summed up that teachers should be responsible and fair in their approach.

Friends have a major contribution as well. A good quality circle of friends will mean that the child is growing in a healthy environment and the chances of him being rude or arrogant are very less and thereby eliminating chances of school violence. However if the friends are bad then it would be very difficult for an adolescent child to develop a proper attitude. Hence such bad company of friends should be avoided by the child in order to ensure that he is never in the wrong path.

Common Problem at school

Ups and downs at school are part of life for many young people. A good relationship with your child’s school and teachers can help you head off problems. If school problems do come up, it’s important that you quickly recognise and address them.
Problems at school can show up as poor academic performance, lack of motivation for school, loss of interest in school work, or poor relationships with peers or teachers.
School difficulties range from minor to severe, might be very short-lived or last for longer. Even short-term school problems can have a negative impact on how young people feel about school – and themselves.

Common signs of school problem:------------

Some signs that might indicate your child is having problems at school include:
a drop in marks in one or more subjects

a lack of engagement, connection or involvement with school – for example, your child might not be interested in extracurricular activities or have very few friends
showing embarrassment or discomfort when talking about school
refusing to talk with you about school, or rarely talking about school with family or friends
never or rarely doing homework, or rarely talking about homework
having low confidence or lacking self-esteem – your child might say she is ‘dumb’, ‘stupid’ or not as clever as her friends
being kept back at lunch time or the end of the school day
finding excuses not to go to school or skipping school without your knowledge
being bored with school work or not feeling challenged enough – your child might say he’s not learning anything new
having attention or behavior problems
being bullied or bullying others

If any parents see near to all problem in his child then they must think to consult a child psychologist for the proper evaluation and management.
